Where are Edward’s Health Co. products made?
We’re an Australian-owned company who create all of our products in Australia.
Why aren’t the contents 100% Australian?
We are in the 90+ region as some of the fruits and extracts are not grown in Australia.
What ingredients do you use?
We source the best natural ingredients both local (more than 90%) and international. No artificial colours and flavours. No additives. No preservatives. No nasties!
What is the shelf life of It’s Manuka drinks?
Our delicious drinks will last 18months from the time of bottling. This will be extended soon.
How does the product have such a long shelf life if there are no preservatives?
There are varying amounts of lemon juice in each of the flavours which acts as the preservative, which is nature's best preservative. That coupled with pasteurisation filling of the product is how the extended shelf life is achieved without any nasties whatsoever.
What is floating in the bottle? What is the sediment at the bottom?
Worry not! This is actually a good thing. What you see is the pulp of the fruit juice mixed with manuka honey, a sign that it’s made from REAL juice and real ingredients. Just shake away separation before opening and enjoy.
Why is the sugar content so high?
That is purely from the honey and the honey alone. There is no refined sugar and no added sugar. The particular sugar from the honey is the healthy part, packed with vitamins and minerals. Nothing like the sugar in a soft drink for example.
What’s stevia?
Stevia is a natural sweetener and healthy sugar substitute. It comes from the stevia plant, also called Stevia Rebaudiana, a member of the chrysanthemum family. It’s about 300 times sweeter than sugar, so a little goes a long way. Not only that. It’s fructose and calorie free!
What are prebiotics?
AKA your gut’s BFF! Prebiotics are types of dietary fibre that feed the good bugs in your gut. They help keep your gut health in tip-top shape.
What is so special about Manuka honey?
Aside from its amazing taste, manuka honey has major health benefits best known for its antibacterial and antiviral properties and other medicinal use. It’s used widely for common colds, flus and even wound healing to name a few.
I have been told that honey loses its potency when heated, is this true?
Nah. Manuka is the only honey that doesn’t lose any potency when heated, diluted or exposed to sunlight. That’s what makes it so special.
What is the activity level of the Manuka you use (MGO/UMF)? Where is it from?
As we source our Manuka honey in Australia from family-owned apiaries and in bulk, it comes in varying levels of activity (usually MGO 10-30). Due to the variation, we cannot confidently promote it on the bottle.
I thought Manuka was only found in New Zealand?
Incorrect, the leptospermum plant species are readily available in Australia. We just have a lot more species of the same family developing high strength manuka all over Australia.
Should I keep It’s Manuka drinks in or out of the fridge?
Our bevvies can be stored at room temperature away from direct heat. Serve them chilled.
Is it safe for children to consume?
Absolutely! Although we don’t recommend for infants.
Are your drinks Halal?
Yes. All flavours of It’s Manuka Honey Water and Iced Tea are certified Halal by the Halal Certification Authority.
Are It’s Manuka drinks gluten-free?
Yes! All our ingredients are gluten-free and our production facility does not use and store gluten products.
What if I have a nut allergy?
No worries. Our ingredients and production facility are free from tree nuts, peanut and peanut products.
Is your packaging recyclable?
Yep, our PET bottles are recyclable! We do our best to source environmentally friendly materials for all our packaging.
